As the name suggests, this variety of partridge is created for those who love the beauty of the common partridge, but are looking for something smaller. ' Compactum' naturally forms a dense, neatly rounded and slow-growing shrub that maintains its symmetrical shape even without special shaping. It is an excellent solution for smaller gardens, the foreground of flower beds or low, natural hedges.
In spring, the shrub is covered in clusters of white flowers, but in autumn, the foliage turns flaming purple and the branches are adorned with countless bright red berries. These berries are smaller but plentiful, and they sparkle like little beads in the garden long after the leaves have fallen.
