White-bark Himalayan birch 'Doorenbos' (Betula utilis)
€369.00
A tree with its own unique character. This variety of white-barked Himalayan birch stands out with a light, elegantly shaped crown and shiny bark. The trunk, which often begins to branch low, becomes especially white with age and, as the bark peels off easily, darker layers of the trunk are revealed. It is especially impressive in winter, when the silhouette of the tree becomes more expressive.
The glossy, sharply serrated leaves turn a bright golden yellow in autumn. With a fine, relatively shallow root system and gracefully spreading branches, it brings lightness and structure to the garden.
