Forms a strong, wide and moderately tall shrub. Unlike the distinctly low forms, this pine grows more upwards and sideways, forming a dense, bushy and slightly irregular ball, which gives the garden a natural look.
It is ideal for medium-height groups, free-growing hedges or as a background plant for lower perennials. Amazingly modest and hardy, it can grow in poor sand, as well as withstand strong winds and urban pollution, maintaining its dark green, saturated color all year round.
