A large shrub with a stately, wide crown. Its trunk is decorative even in winter, the bark is smooth and dark, reminiscent of a cherry tree. The biggest surprise is the flowering time, it blooms in late June or early July, about two to three weeks after ordinary lilacs and blooms for up to 20 days. The flowers have a honey-sweet aroma, fragrant, creamy white, arranged in large, airy panicles, which can reach a length of 15-25cm. During flowering, the tree looks as if wrapped in white foam. It is unusually hardy and suitable for urban conditions.
