This peaceful garden is located near the sea, on the edge of a pine forest. The Elemental Garden is based on the concept of showcasing the forces of nature, inspired by Vedic astrology. The house serves as the center or the ether, surrounded by the elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air.
Since the garden is relatively small but must accommodate all necessary functional zones, it is structured to allow natural transitions between areas while maintaining clear distinctions. The key elements that weave through the garden include retaining walls, changes in topography, pergolas, and various seasonal perennial beds of different sizes and styles.
In the Kitchen Garden, the design seamlessly blends functionality with charm. Swings gracefully tucked within the pergolas invite moments of relaxation and enjoyment, while a sunken trampoline nestled among vibrant flower beds provides a playful escape for children. As dusk falls, the sunken fire pit becomes the focal point, casting a warm, inviting glow and offering a cozy gathering spot on summer nights. The pergola's shade delivers a refreshing respite during the peak of the day. At the garden's core, a generous lawn unfolds, offering an expansive canvas for panoramic views and energetic children's play.
The garden also features several relaxation areas designed for experiencing and soothing the various elements of nature. Here, one can feel the stability and permanence of Earth, the powerful force of Fire, and the pure, light, almost intangible song of Air.
