The Tibetan cherry is a tree for aesthetes. Its unique and striking bark is smooth, shiny, and painted in bright copper and mahogany tones. The bark regularly peels off in thin, transparent sheets, like paper, and when the sun shines on the trunk, the tree literally shines like polished metal.
The flowers of the Tibetan cherry are small, white and discreet, hidden in the spring foliage, but it is the tree's trunk and graphic silhouette that make it an exclusive garden element in all four seasons, especially in winter, when the copper trunk looks fascinating against the white snow. The leaves are narrow, willow-like, which create airy and light shade in summer.
